We work with you to ensure your water system complies with current legislation. We provide a comprehensive range of Legionella control systems to all sectors for the prevention of Legionnaires Disease. Due to the significant risk of Legionnaires Disease in water, there are legal obligations of duty holders and responsible persons who operate water systems that carry a legionella risk.

Areas at risk To legionella

The most common question surrounding legionella and the risk of legionnaires disease is are there legionella risks in my workplace?

Any water system (workplace or not), with the right environmental conditions, could be a source for legionella bacteria growth. Your water system is most at risk to legionella bacterial growth if:

  • water temperatures between 20-45°C
  • creates an aerosol e.g. water outlets such as showers, hand basins and cooling towers
  • water storage tanks e.g hot water storage tanks
  • your system contains a source of nutrients for the organisms to grow e.g. rust, scale, sludge, organic matter and biofilm.

We understand the control of legionella can be overwhelming for our customers. That is why we have developed a simple straight forward process to help our customers ensure their duties are following compliance within the ACoP L8 code of practise.
